NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 41.73 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 3.76 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.65 crore), GAIL (number of shares traded: 1.76 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 1.63 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 1.63 crore), IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 1.56 crore), Visagar Polytex (number of shares traded: 1.53 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 1.42 crore) and Tata Power (number of shares traded: 1.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 11.45 points up at 16306.05, while BSE Sensex was up 21.13 points at 54513.97 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd. (up 3.09 per cent), Coal India Ltd. (up 1.79 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (up 1.78 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 1.52 per cent) and UPL Ltd. (up 1.47 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Cipla Ltd. (down 2.50 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd. (down 1.25 per cent), Titan Company Ltd. (down 0.86 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.81 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.75 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
