Shares of Tech Mahindra (up 1.31 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 1.23 per cent), MPhasis (up 1.1 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 0.79 per cent) and Coforge (up 0.44 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies (down 1.06 per cent), Wipro (down 0.48 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.2 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.3 per cent up at 31303.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 56.4 points at 16238.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 215.12 points at 54277.72.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.

Shares of PVP Ventures Ltd., Accuracy Shipping, BASF India, Venus Remedies and Gujarat Sidhee hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Viceroy Hotels, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. and AKG Exim Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
