Tech Mahindra (up 0.97 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.7 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 0.48 per cent), Wipro (up 0.44 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.15 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Coforge (down 0.36 per cent), Mindtree (down 0.22 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (down 0.14 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.28 per cent at 31390.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.65 points at 16287.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 183.69 points at 54461.41.
