NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 318.05 points up at 54843.98 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Indian Toners (down 12.01 per cent), National Plast (down 11.32 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa (down 10.18 per cent), Triveni Enterprises (down 10.00 per cent) and Sungold Capital (down 9.94 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 19 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 82.15 points up at 16364.4.
On the BSE, Shashank Traders, Acewin Agriteck, Ozone World, Future Market and Palm Jewels hit their fresh 52-week lows, while TAAL Enterprises, VIP Ind., Indoco Remedies, Kaira Can and Vedavaag Sys touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
