Indiabulls Real Estate (up 3.05 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (up 2.94 per cent), SOBHA (up 2.23 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 1.71 per cent) and DLF (up 1.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.13 per cent at 397.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 51.7 points at 16333.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 170.1 points at 54696.03.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
