NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 85.79 points up at 55523.08 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Apex Frozen Foods (down 15.50 per cent), Garnet Const (down 14.16 per cent), Cenlub Ind (down 11.80 per cent), Upasana Finance (down 10.89 per cent) and East West Holdings (down 10.58 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks traded in the green, while 26 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 13.45 points up at 16542.55.
On the BSE, Windlas Biotech Ltd., ANS Industries, Olympic Cards, Ozone World and Tiaan Ayurvedic & He hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Devyani International Ltd., MRO-TEK Realty, Shankar Lal Rampal, Sun Retail and Tanfac Ind touched their fresh 52-week highs.
