NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 7.72 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 2.91 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 1.53 crore), Greenply Inds (numbers of share traded: 1.17 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 1.07 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 0.92 crore), JCT Ltd (numbers of share traded: 0.71 crore), G V Films (numbers of share traded: 0.57 crore), Ashok Leyland (numbers of share traded: 0.53 crore) and GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 0.52 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 51.55 points up at 16614.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 209.69 points at 55792.27.
On the other hand, JSW Steel Ltd. (down 2.28 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 2.02 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd. (down 1.98 per cent), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.94 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 1.84 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
