NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 8.40 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 6.70 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 3.81 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.47 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 2.33 crore), Vedanta (number of shares traded: 1.71 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 1.61 crore), BHEL (number of shares traded: 1.53 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 1.00 crore) and Zomato Ltd. (number of shares traded: 0.90 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 80.35 points up at 16694.95, while BSE Sensex was up 301.01 points at 56093.28 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 3.14 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 2.56 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 2.06 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up 1.77 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (up 1.40 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 0.90 per cent), Titan Company Ltd. (down 0.71 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.70 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 0.53 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.46 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
