Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.78 per cent), Coforge (down 1.38 per cent), Wipro (down 0.9 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.85 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 0.83 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.01 per cent at 33445.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 116.4 points at 16452.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 289.33 points at 55340.16.
