NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 16.06 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 12.86 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 6.06 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 5.77 crore), Zomato Ltd. (numbers of share traded: 5.67 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 5.50 crore), JP Power (numbers of share traded: 4.66 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 4.15 crore), IDFC First Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.90 crore) and Tata Motors (numbers of share traded: 3.76 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 128.15 points up at 16624.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 403.19 points at 55958.98.
On the other hand, Britannia Industries Ltd. (down 1.40 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 1.20 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (down 1.13 per cent), Infosys Ltd. (down 1.03 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd. (down 1.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
