NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 4.89 points up at 55949.10 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, MRC Exim (down 20.00 per cent), Naysaa Securities (down 10.70 per cent), Tarmat Ltd (down 10.32 per cent), Triveni Enterprises (down 10.00 per cent) and Informed Tech (down 9.92 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 2.25 points up at 16636.9.
On the BSE, AK Spintex L, RJ Shah Co, Advance Lifestyles Ltd., BFL Asset Finvest and Sterling Guar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Esab India, Kerala Ayurveda, HLE Glasscoat, Dynamatic Tech and ABB Power touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
