NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel (Rs. 959.82 crore), Tata Steel (Rs. 847.80 crore), RIL (Rs. 443.48 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs. 429.29 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 333.86 crore), SRF (Rs. 326.78 crore), Deepak Nitrite (Rs. 310.60 crore), Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd. (Rs. 297.36 crore), NALCO (Rs. 293.75 crore) and Hindalco (Rs. 277.32 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Monday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index traded 171.9 points up at 16877.1, while BSE Sensex was up 587.9 points at 56712.62 as of 10:40AM (IST) on August 30.
In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd. (up 3.68 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 2.76 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 2.69 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 2.65 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd. (up 2.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.73 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd. (down 0.33 per cent), Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.29 per cent), Wipro Ltd. (down 0.13 per cent) and Infosys Ltd. (down 0.02 per cent) were among the top losers.
