NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 469.42 points up at 56594.14 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Northern Spirits (down 9.32 per cent), Simplex Realty (down 8.44 per cent), Unishire Urban Infr (down 8.39 per cent), Haryana Capfin (down 8.37 per cent) and Nalin Lease Fin (down 6.81 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 47 stocks traded in the green, while 3 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 140.0 points up at 16845.2.
On the BSE, Gautam Gems, Autolite India, Nutraplus India, Marg Ltd and Ace Men Engg Works hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Datamatics Glob, KMC Speciality, Tanfac Ind, BLS Int. Services and Allied Digital touched their fresh 52-week highs.
