MPhasis (up 1.79 per cent), Coforge (up 1.39 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.79 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.62 per cent) and Tata Consultancy (up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.29 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.35 per cent at 34227.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 58.95 points at 16990.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 211.08 points at 57100.84.
