NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 12.86 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 3.19 crore), BHEL (number of shares traded: 2.63 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 1.94 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 1.25 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 1.20 crore), Bharti Airtel (number of shares traded: 0.93 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.93 crore), Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.93 crore) and IDFC First Bank (number of shares traded: 0.87 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 36.75 points up at 17168.95, while BSE Sensex was up 179.57 points at 57731.96 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd. (up 3.86 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 2.86 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (up 2.17 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 2.07 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 2.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.16 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.49 per cent), Infosys Ltd. (down 1.38 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 1.29 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.29 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
