NEW DELHI: Indian Energy Exchg (Rs. 1445.93 crore), TCS (Rs. 1292.77 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs. 1244.69 crore), HDFC Life (Rs. 1228.80 crore), Infosys (Rs. 1144.26 crore), RIL (Rs. 1051.68 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 1016.98 crore), Kotak Bank (Rs. 1016.66 crore), Delta Corp (Rs. 941.55 crore) and Bajaj Finance (Rs. 888.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 157.9 points up at 17234.15, while BSE Sensex rose 514.33 points to 57852.54.
In the Nifty index, Shree Cements Ltd. (up 6.48 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (up 5.63 per cent), Cipla Ltd. (up 3.51 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 3.28 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.49 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.27 per cent), Coal India Ltd. (down 1.80 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 0.99 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.88 per cent) and Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.71 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
