Godrej Properties (up 2.85 per cent), SOBHA (up 2.81 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.77 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 1.32 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Brigade Enterprises (down 0.93 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 0.87 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (down 0.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 0.99 per cent at 412.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.25 points at 17116.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 110.25 points at 57448.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
