Shares of Prestige Estates Projects (up 10.32 per cent), SOBHA (up 6.49 per cent), DLF (up 1.42 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 0.84 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 0.62 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills (down 2.51 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.94 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 0.16 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.06 per cent up at 417.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 89.45 points at 17323.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 277.41 points at 58129.95.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.
