NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 166.96 points up at 58296.91 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Devoted Construction (down 20.00 per cent), Blueblood Ventures L (down 19.93 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa (down 13.62 per cent), Gensol Engg (down 11.49 per cent) and Northern Spirits (down 11.44 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 54.2 points up at 17377.8.
On the BSE, Devoted Construction, ICL Organic Dairy, Ridings Consulting, Triveni Enterprises and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Alphageo , Weizmann Forex Ltd.[Amalgamated], Liberty Shoes, Faze Three Ltd and Hind Rectifiers touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
