SOBHA (up 7.73 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 4.13 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 3.47 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 2.4 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (up 1.58 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Phoenix Mills (down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.53 per cent at 424.25 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.65 points at 17364.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 177.0 points at 58306.95.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
