NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 234.75 points down at 58062.16 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Martin Burn (down 13.93 per cent), Ujjivan Financial (down 9.84 per cent), Sun Retail (down 9.63 per cent), Keynote Financial (down 9.43 per cent) and Nalin Lease Fin (down 8.59 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 53.15 points down at 17324.65.
On the BSE, Ujjivan Financial, RJ Shah Co, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Photon Capital and Ace Men Engg Works hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Zen Tech, VST Tiller Trac, Ritco Logistics, Fraser & Company and Gayatri Tissue touched their fresh 52-week highs.
