Brigade Enterprises (up 2.15 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.
SOBHA (down 4.72 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 4.68 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 2.74 per cent), DLF (down 2.47 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India (down 1.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 2.0 per cent at 422.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 47.65 points at 17330.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 149.29 points at 58147.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
