NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 476.11 points up at 58723.20 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease (down 19.98 per cent), R J Bio Tech Lt (down 12.39 per cent), Upasana Finance (down 12.30 per cent), Naysaa Securities (down 10.37 per cent) and Sita Enterprises (down 9.96 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 139.45 points up at 17519.45.
On the BSE, Ishaan Infrastru, Rahul Merc, Jhandewalas Foods, Paos Industries and Hemang Resources hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Ganesh Benzo, Ami Organics Ltd., Advait Infratech, Zensar Tech and CESC Ventures touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
