Lupin Share Price: Share price of Lupin falls as Sensex gains 330.91 points

The share price of Lupin Ltd. dropped 0.83 per cent to Rs 981.6 at 02:01PM (IST) in Thursday’s trade. The scrip has hit a high of Rs 985.0 and low of Rs 974.05 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 989.8 in the previous session.

The counter has had a total traded volume of 1358994 shares so far with a value of Rs 134.41 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 26.99 and a price-to-book ratio of 3.36.

A higher price-to-earnings ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.



The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and reflects the price investors are willing to pay even for no growth in the business.

The scrip declined 4.55 per cent during the past one year, while the 30-share index advanced 51.98 per cent during the same period.

Promoters held 46.55 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2021, while overseas investors and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 18.6 per cent and 11.43 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials

The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 4298.02 crore for the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, up 11.89 per cent from the previous quarter’s Rs 3841.32 crore and up 20.35 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 3571.14 crore.

Profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 542.46 crore, up 407.45 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
