Bosch (up 5.22 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 1.4 per cent), TIINDIA (up 1.18 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.05 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries (up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Amara Raja Batteries (down 0.74 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.34 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.17 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 0.16 per cent) and Exide Industries (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.36 per cent at 10334.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 38.85 points at 17558.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 56.34 points at 58779.54.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
