NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 125.27 points down at 59015.89 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease (down 9.99 per cent), Raj Oil Mills (down 9.96 per cent), Shiva Granito Export (down 9.09 per cent), Inventure Grwth (down 8.57 per cent) and YES Bank (down 7.59 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 44.35 points down at 17585.15.
On the BSE, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Aneri Fincap, Jhandewalas Foods, Sun Retail and Arihant Tourne hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Valiant Comm, Surya Roshni, RPP Infra Proj, Thirumalai Chem and TPL Plastech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
