NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 524.96 points down at 58490.93 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Chandra Bhagat Pharm (down 16.67 per cent), Gretex Corporate Services Ltd. (down 16.18 per cent), RMC Switchgears (down 15.40 per cent), Unishire Urban Infr (down 15.17 per cent) and Aashka Hospitals Ltd. (down 14.68 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 9 stocks closed in the green, while 41 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 188.25 points down at 17396.9.
On the BSE, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., MAC Hotels, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Jiya Eco Products Lt and Jonjua Overseas hit their fresh 52-week lows, while HLE Glasscoat, Vasundhara Rasayans, CESC Ventures, Royal Orchid and Neogen Chemicals touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
