NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 68.17 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 18.07 crore), GMR Infra (numbers of share traded: 8.95 crore), ITC (numbers of share traded: 7.04 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 6.49 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 5.61 crore), Zee Ent. (numbers of share traded: 5.28 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 4.95 crore), Indian Hotels (numbers of share traded: 4.64 crore) and NALCO (numbers of share traded: 3.07 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 188.25 points down at 17396.9, while BSE Sensex ended down 556.89 points at 58459.0.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 9.58 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 7.20 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 6.06 per cent), UPL Ltd. (down 4.95 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 3.67 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
