Phoenix Mills (up 0.53 per cent), Godrej Properties (up 0.09 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
SOBHA (down 2.77 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 1.74 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.6 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.34 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.66 per cent at 410.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 55.45 points at 17529.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 112.7 points at 58903.19.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.
