NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 77.94 points down at 58927.33 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Radhey Trade Holding (down 20.00 per cent), Gujarat Hy-Spin (down 19.86 per cent), Ganga Pharmaceutical (down 16.67 per cent), Ashika Credit (down 11.39 per cent) and R J Bio Tech Lt (down 10.50 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 15.35 points down at 17546.65.
On the BSE, Ganga Pharmaceutical, Shukra Jewellery, Rahul Merc, Superior Finlease and SVP Housing hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Zee Ent., VRL Logistics, SDC Techmedia, Godrej Properties and Gujarat Alkalie touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
