Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Thursday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 958.03 points up at 59885.36 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Yamuna Syndicate (down 11.05 per cent), G G Engineering (down 10.03 per cent), Radhey Trade Holding (down 10.00 per cent), Lex Nimble Solutions (down 9.78 per cent) and Parenteral Drug (down 9.54 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 39 stocks closed in the green, while 11 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 276.3 points up at 17822.95.

On the BSE, Superior Finlease, Jain Marmo Indus, Promact Impex, Nova Pub and Hemang Resources hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Amrapali Fincap Ltd., Chandra Bhagat Pharm, STEL Holdings, Cantabil Retail and Kreon Financial touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
