Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 1.9 points up at 17855.1 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as DU Digital Technologies Ltd., Shanti Overseas (Ind, Jiya Eco Products Lt, Synergy Green Ind and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 26 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 24 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, M&M, ONGC and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while HCL Tech, Divis Labs, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 29.41 points up at 60077.88.
Traders piled up positions in Diversified, Auto, Tourism & Hospitality, Paper and Auto Ancillaries sectors, while selling was witnessed in IT – Hardware, Textiles, Petrochemicals, Power and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors during the day.
