The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 17.3 points up at 17872.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 2.98 points at 60080.86 at around 10:04AM.
NTPC(up 3.67%), Coal India(up 3.65%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.13%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.53%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.76%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.68%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.6%), Tata Steel(up 1.57%), Grasim Industries(up 1.44%) and State Bank of India(up 1.37%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Asian Paints(down 1.5%), Infosys(down 1.43%), HCL Technologies(down 1.42%), Wipro(down 1.06%), Cipla(down 1.06%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.03%), HDFC Bank(down 0.78%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.76%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.71%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.66%) were trading in the red.
