NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 429.76 points down at 59237.84 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 10.00 per cent), NPR Finance(down 8.14 per cent), Shardul Sec(down 7.62 per cent), CAMS(down 7.31 per cent) and Nalin Lease Fin(down 6.35 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 29 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 98.7 points down at 17649.9.
On the BSE, Milgrey Finance, Superior Finlease, Scanpoint Geo(PP), Shree Manufact and Paos Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sarthak Metals, Simmonds Marsh, Akashdeep Metal, Coal India Ltd and NTC Industries touched their fresh 52-week highs.
