NLC India(up 6.24%), RTNPOWER(up 4.76%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.76%), Reliance Power(up 4.65%), NTPC(up 4.40%), Tata Power Company(up 4.28%), CESC(up 4.01%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 3.99%), Adani Power(up 3.91%) and PTC India(up 3.85%) were among the top gainers.
DPSC(down 2.35%), Jyoti Structures(down 2.24%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.50%), Voltamp Transformers(down 0.27%) and KEC International(down 0.06%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 92.2 points down at 17656.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 378.33 points at 59289.27 at around 10:14AM.
Coal India(up 7.71%), NTPC(up 4.4%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.75%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.07%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.51%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.94%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.64%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.57%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.56%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.48%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank(down 1.78%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.74%), Infosys(down 1.43%), Wipro(down 1.39%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.32%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.17%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.11%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.1%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.01%) and HDFC Bank(down 0.98%) were trading in the red.
