NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(Rs. 332.01 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 165.90 crore), Supreme Ind.(Rs. 102.92 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 86.79 crore), SBI(Rs. 77.83 crore), Bengal Assam Co(Rs. 76.13 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 70.44 crore), RIL(Rs. 68.21 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 64.98 crore) and BHEL(Rs. 52.15 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 93.15 points down at 17618.15, while BSE Sensex fell 286.91 points to 59126.36.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.64 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.36 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
