NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 14.08 points down at 59399.19 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jetmall Spices and Masala Ltd.(down 12.00 per cent), Dr. Lalchandani Labs(down 9.65 per cent), Econo Trade(I)(down 9.38 per cent), Misquita Engineering(down 9.12 per cent) and Visco Trade Associat(down 9.05 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks traded in the green, while 26 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 12.4 points down at 17698.9.
On the BSE, Standard Shoe Sole, Superior Finlease, Purple Entertainment, Milgrey Finance and ANS Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Systematix Sec, Novateor Research, Athena Global Techn, Aadi Industries Ltd. and Tata Investment touched their fresh 52-week highs.
