NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 19.91 crore), GMR Infra(number of shares traded: 5.73 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 4.21 crore), Trident Ltd(number of shares traded: 4.05 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 3.69 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.38 crore), Delta Corp(number of shares traded: 3.13 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 2.98 crore), GAIL(number of shares traded: 2.94 crore) and ONGC(number of shares traded: 2.66 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:27AM in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 108.9 points down at 17509.25, while BSE Sensex was down 406.44 points at 58719.92 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 3.07 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.79 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.18 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
