Oberoi Realty(up 0.62 per cent) and Sunteck Realty(up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.43 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.25 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India(down 1.09 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.73 per cent) and SOBHA(down 0.66 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.58 per cent at 510.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 131.1 points at 17487.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 462.65 points at 58663.71.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.
