NEW DELHI: IRCTC(Rs. 3035.92 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 2883.84 crore), ONGC(Rs. 2090.23 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1772.59 crore), RIL(Rs. 1612.68 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1104.11 crore), Deepak Nitrite(Rs. 1028.34 crore), Piramal Ent.(Rs. 950.80 crore), Coal India Ltd(Rs. 828.43 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 814.93 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 131.05 points up at 17822.3, while BSE Sensex rose 445.56 points to 59744.88.
In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 10.87 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 4.36 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 4.21 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 2.89 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 2.40 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 1.79 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
