NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 33.08 points down at 59266.24 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Agrimony Comdts.(down 19.11 per cent), RMC Switchgears(down 12.06 per cent), Raghuvansh Agrofarm(down 9.88 per cent), UTL Industries (down 8.22 per cent) and Cranex Ltd(down 7.99 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 24 stocks traded in the green, while 26 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 4.4 points down at 17686.85.
On the BSE, Monotype India, Nova Pub, Milgrey Finance, Naapbooks Ltd. and Shree Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows, while IG Petrochem, Arvind Fashions, Elpro Intnl, Patel Eng and PlatinumOne Business Services Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
