IndusInd Bank(up 1.18 per cent), HDFC Bank(up 0.26 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 0.21 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.18 per cent) and Axis Bank(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
RBLBANK(down 0.93 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(down 0.88 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.8 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.38 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.16 per cent at 37519.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 13.15 points at 17704.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 26.27 points at 59325.59.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, ONGC, BHEL and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Centum Elec, IG Petrochem, Patel Eng, GKW Ltd and Bodal Chemicals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Quadpro ITeS Ltd. and BKM Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
