NEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 6011.90 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 4000.75 crore), Titan Company (Rs. 1958.33 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1320.82 crore), Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 1229.65 crore), ONGC(Rs. 975.97 crore), Piramal Ent.(Rs. 947.32 crore), Infosys(Rs. 927.21 crore), Godrej Properties(Rs. 926.71 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 911.09 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 144.35 points up at 17790.35, while BSE Sensex rose 488.1 points to 59677.83.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 12.04 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 10.60 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 5.29 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 4.07 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.37 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 4.58 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
