NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 375.54 points up at 60053.37 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Saumya Consultants(down 9.96 per cent), Stellar Capital Svcs(down 9.59 per cent), 8K Miles Soft(down 7.50 per cent), IndiaNivesh Ltd(down 7.20 per cent) and Punjab Alkalies(down 6.80 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks traded in the green, while 7 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 114.85 points up at 17905.2.
On the BSE, SBL Infratech Ltd., Trescon, Alfa Transform, Purple Entertainment and Shalimar Prod hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Syncom Form, Taylormade Renewable, Kamat Hotels, DRC Systems India Ltd. and Shivam Autotech touched their fresh 52-week highs.
