Oriental Trimex(up 6.51%), Lexus Granito(up 4.72%), KIOCL(up 2.98%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.87%) and MOIL(up 0.76%) stood among the top gainers.
Ashapura Minechem(down 2.43%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.28%), Pokarna(down 1.39%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.27%), Coal India(down 1.18%), 20 Microns(down 0.57%) and Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.16%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 104.85 points up at 17895.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 381.23 points at 60059.06.
Reliance Industries(up 3.84%), Wipro(up 2.83%), Infosys(up 1.94%), Tata Motors(up 1.71%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.61%), UPL Ltd(up 1.44%), HCL Technologies(up 1.21%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.1%), Tata Steel(up 0.93%) and Larsen & Toubro(up 0.84%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, SBI Life(down 1.53%), NTPC(down 1.19%), Coal India(down 1.18%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.1%), Shree Cement(down 1.08%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.86%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.83%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.82%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.81%) and Titan Company Ltd(down 0.72%) closed in the red.
