Bandhan Bank(down 3.46 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.98 per cent at 38146.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 68.6 points at 17963.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 170.77 points at 60229.83.
