The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 86.95 points up at 17982.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 223.0 points at 60282.06 at around 10:19AM.
Tata Motors(up 8.26%), Coal India(up 4.09%), Maruti Suzuki(up 3.46%), NTPC(up 3.19%), Eicher Motors(up 2.62%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 2.57%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.18%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.11%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.45%) and HDFC Bank(up 1.33%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Consultancy(down 5.2%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.78%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.18%), Wipro(down 0.72%), HCL Technologies(down 0.43%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.28%), Britannia Industries(down 0.28%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.16%) and Infosys(down 0.07%) were trading in the red.
