Global Infras(down 3.95%), Suzlon Energy(down 3.92%), DPSC(down 3.26%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 2.78%), Torrent Power(down 2.38%), JSW Energy(down 2.33%), NHPC(down 1.96%), KEC International(down 1.85%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 1.63%) and Adani Transmissions(down 1.34%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 27.2 points down at 17918.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 84.89 points at 60050.89 at around 11:16AM.
Titan Company Ltd(up 3.52%), Bajaj Auto(up 3.06%), Bajaj Finserv(up 2.89%), Eicher Motors(up 2.4%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.8%), Tata Motors(up 1.42%), State Bank of India(up 1.26%), ITC(up 0.9%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.7%) and Hindalco Industries(up 0.56%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 4.33%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.08%), Coal India(down 1.57%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.14%), Grasim Industries(down 1.12%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 1.1%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.99%), Infosys(down 0.92%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.88%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.87%) were trading in the red.
