Power Grid Corp gains 4% as board okays investment in EV charging station

NEW DELHI: Shares of Corporation of India added 4% on Wednesday after the state-owned company’s board approved an investment of Rs 14.23 crore for an electric vehicle charging station in Navi Mumbai and for the setting up of an arm for telecom and digital technology businesses.

At 12:35 hours (IST) shares of Power Grid Corporation were at Rs 201.40 on the BSE, up 4.19 per cent from previous close.

According to an exchange filing, the transmission company’s board, on Tuesday okayed the investment scheme for “setting up of electric vehicle charging station in Navi Mumbai under the FAME India Scheme Phase-II”.



The company said that the commissioning schedule is 12 months for the charging station and 24 months for other infrastructures.
