NEW DELHI: Tata Motors(Rs. 9853.13 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 6662.93 crore), Tata Chemicals(Rs. 2300.32 crore), BHEL(Rs. 2145.34 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1803.27 crore), M&M(Rs. 1644.53 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 1584.27 crore), Zee Ent.(Rs. 1408.02 crore), Avenue Supermart(Rs. 1339.12 crore) and TCS(Rs. 1296.23 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 169.8 points up at 18161.75, while BSE Sensex rose 452.74 points to 60737.05.
In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 20.45 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 5.08 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.92 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 3.27 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.13 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.17 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
